Budget Friendly Makeup That Does't Suck

January 27, 2016

The love for makeup is real man! But let's face it, makeup is hellllllaaaa expesive these days! The expression that's often thrown around in the beauty industry is "you get what you pay for," and while it's true (for the most part) sometimes there is a silver lining and "cheaper" products turn out to be just as fabulous!

These are my must have drugstore products:

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3in1 Foundation |Shade:855
This is my ultimate drugstore foundation, it's the one I use in my "no makeup, makeup" video. This foundation is amazingly great for combination skin. It does what it claims to do! It primes, conceals and blends beautifully. I love how my skin looks and feels with this foundation. It's very lightweight but it has great build-able coverage.
Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara |Shade:VeryBlack
Many drugstore mascaras are great, but I like this one the best! The wand has unique shape to elongate and separate the lashes. It has great wear throughout the day with little to no fallout.
Milani Cosmetics Baked Powder Blush |Shade:Corallina08
I choose this blush before any of my high-end blushes. I love the sun-kissed effect this blush has on my skin. I've this blush on a broad spectrum of skin tones and it suites every single one beautifully. It has a slight shimmer that highlights the cheekbones so it's kind of a two in one kind of product.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme |Shade:Instanbul
Nyx is known for having great lip products and this one sure didn't disappoint. I actually got this lippie by mistake but ended up falling in love with it! I've never been the type of girl to wear pinks on my lips but this shade is an everyday wearable baby pink. The formula is really good for being a "matte" lip creme, it doesn't have that drying parched feeling you'd get with other matte products.

Sometimes, we have to go back to basics. Back to the days when we were young + naive about contouring and strobing and just remember how we started our makeup love in that Target isle at 13.
